Club Balai Isabel is ♥
I have been thinking of ways to celebrate my husband's 31st birthday for a couple of months. Until, I decided to plan an out-of-town trip for us since we haven't done it for quite a long time because of our busy schedules. The night before my husband's birthday, I asked him to come with me and stroll along The Fort and eat at a food market called "Mercato". We also brought with us our son so he can run and play at the soccer field right at the back of the food market. Then. I gave him my surprise gift which is a Bulgari perfume. :) In the morning, we left at around 10am so we can drive to our destination. Club Balai Isabel is located in Talisay, Batangas. It is approximately an hour and a half drive from Manila. It is located right at the side of the Taal Lake. You can see the Taal Volcano very clearly. The location is breath-taking and the staff are really friendly. The hotel room that we stayed at is very roomy and comfy. We also availed of the whole body massage and it was very relaxing. The food was also good although it was a bit pricey. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this resort. It was really a vacation that we can never forget. It was worth the money and time. I am looking forward to going back to this place and this time it will be with my whole family. Again, Happy Birthday Bebe! And I hope that you enjoyed your day. ♥

The Vow- a must-see ♥♥♥
I don't usually watch movies in cinemas because I only watch DVD's at home. But when I heard of this new movie, The Vow, that is based on true story, I got curious about it and was very eager and excited to watch it. I was able to find time to watch it as our Valentine's movie date with my husband. I already got hooked even at the start of the movie. The scenes were excellently executed and the story was properly told. Every scene makes sense and every line speaks of the truth. People who are in love will be able to relate to the story. Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum (the new love of my life) portrayed their roles so well that you can feel every emotions that they have. Although the story was a bit short for me, I will still recommend this movie to my family and friends.
Valentine's date 2012 ♥ @ Secret Recipe
February 14, 2012... Valentine's day...
I bought a voucher from Ensogo for a discounted 4-course meal for 2 a couple of weeks before Valentine's day so we made an early restaurant reservation for our lunch date at Secret Recipe, The Fort.
The place is clean and the ambiance is relaxing so I was expecting that the food will taste good. The 4-course meal includes 2 Mushroom soups, 1 Fresh Garden Salad, 1 Grilled Mushroom Chicken, 1 Fish and Chips and 2 Tiramisu's for dessert. The serving of the food was enough for 2 but the taste was not that promising. There was nothing special and memorable. Their staff were friendly and the service was fast so I think that it wasn't a bad experience after all.
Will I still go back?... Possibly... If there will be cheaper deals... But I do not think that it will be anytime soon.

Places that I want to go to...
There are a lot of places that I want to go to. Here are some of them:
Spain
Greece
Italy
Jerusalem
India
I would love to travel to historical and biblical places. Once I have the time and money, I will definitely grab the chance to visit these places that I have been dreaming about for a long time. :)

Sbarro Bloggers Night @Glorietta5
Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at around 7pm, we were invited by Richard Mamuyac of http://mapanghingikaba.blogspot.com, a co-blogger and a good friend of ours to the Sbarro Bloggers' Night to be held at Sbarro in Glorietta 5. It was Sbarro's way of introducing their newest endorsement which is the Festa Italiana.
A quick PowerPoint presentation was shown with a history of how Sbarro started out in the Philippines and how it expanded in years. Then, there came the introduction of Festa Italiana. This meal includes 2 10" pizzas, 1 whole spaghetti, 1 whole ziti, 1 salad and a bottle of 1 L. Coke for only P799! We also had the chance of tasting it because they served it to us for free! Everybody will definitely enjoy this because it is, indeed, a feast. This meal is good for 4 people because of its big serving. If you love Italian food and is on a budget, you have to dig in to this group meal. For only 200 Pesos per head, you will have a taste of quality, great tasting and healthy food.
While we were eating, there was also a raffle draw for everyone who attended the event. Sbarro gave away gift certificates (P1000, P2000, P3000 and P5000). Fortunately, out of at least 20 bloggers, my husband won the P5000 gc. One lucky winner got to take home a brand new Ipad 2. I was hoping that I could bag the grand prize but even if I didn't I did not go home crying because they gave each and everyone of us a bag full of freebies. A cd of the presentation, a Sbarro mug, a Sbarro t-shirt and 2 Festa Italiana gift certificates! What more can I ask for?
Thanks to the organizers of the event and of course thank you to Richard for the invite! I am, absolutely, looking forward to more events like this.
