8 years of ♥

March 29, 2004 was the day when me and my then boyfriend officially became a couple just a couple of days after we met. Since then we never parted ways. Our relationship is not perfect and will never be perfect but that's how it's supposed to be. We negate each other most of the time. We also piss each other off. We fight and we scream at each other. But at the end of it all, it's our unconditional love that made us stronger. I am not perfect and so is my husband, but we have accepted each other for who we are with no pretensions, at all. I love him with all my heart and I know that we have all the time in the world to spend with each other and to know each other more.

March 29, 2012 we celebrated our 8 years of togetherness. Even though I am not feeling well, everything still went well as planned. We went to a spa in Mandaluyong for a relaxing massage (by the way, I am a die-hard massage-addict). Whenever I feel sick or sad I will just send a text message for a home service massage. But after our experience at Nuat Thai (the one located in Shaw) it felt like we have never ever been massaged before. That's how good it is. Their whole body massage with healing stones is to die for! Even my husband loved it. We are now planning to go back there every payday to have our regular massage. Afterwards, we went to McKinley for an early dinner. We ate at the Sweet Pea restaurant. The food was OK but our order took a long time before it was served to us. We ordered their Bacon and Corn soup and Crispy Buffalo Wings as our starters. I had their BBQ Baby Back ribs while my husband's choice was the Crispy Fish Fillet Pizza Ola. Their serving is big and it is also not that expensive. Lastly, we watched The Hunger Games in Market Market and we both loved it. It is definitely worth watching! This day was a blast. But what made it more special is going back home and seeing our son's smile on his face. He hugged and kissed us as if he hasn't seen us for a long time. I will make sure to spend more quality time with my family from now on. Priceless.

Baja Mexican Cantina, the best Mexican restaurant in town :)

Baja Mexican Cantina is located at the 3rd floor of Greenbelt 3 in Makati.  It has a cozy ambiance and homey feeling when you are inside it. Their staff are the best. They will cater to all your needs without asking for it. They also have a wide variety of Mexican food choices that are surprisingly affordable. From rice plates to burritos to tacos to nachos to quesadillas and many more. I ordered their Fajitas Combo and I had a blast. It was one of the best Fajitas I had. I recommend this to all food lovers. You will never go wrong with Baja Mexican Cantina. Will I still go back?... No doubt and in the soonest possible time! Tomorrow, maybe? :)

Dillingers, the taste that lingers...

Last Saturday, me and my husband were strolling in Makati after bringing our car to Toyota for its regular scheduled service. We decided to go to Greenbelt 3 for our lunch. We saw this very timid looking but classy restaurant in the corner and decided to dine in. The inside looks great and welcoming. The staff assisted us instantly and offered seats for us. Dillingers seems like a wine house but it is not. Because we walked from Toyota Makati to Greenbelt 3, I got myself their Rib-eye steak, Fettuccine Alfredo and my favorite Spicy Buffalo Wings while my husband got himself their Broiled Dory Fillet. Their food tastes great and it is surprisingly affordable. Their Spicy Buffalo Wings is to die for. At first I thought that it will cost us much but to my surprise, it didn't. I recommend this place to anyone who will be visiting Greenbelt 3. It is located on the 3rd Floor near Yakimix. Will I still go back?... By any means, YES!!!!! Delicious and affordable yet classy.

Happy Lemon-ing on a happy day :)

I've always been so curious about this Happy Lemon thing that I see on friend's Facebook uploads. But since, most branches are far from places that I usually go, I never had the chance to try it. Until, one day, I went to Megamall to purchase something and I came across a Happy Lemon branch. I came in to this small but cozy tea store and looked at the menu. Their menu looked so confusing because they all seemed deliciously tempting. I decided to order the flavor that one of my friends recommended, Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese. The first sip was heavenly. For a hundred pesos, I had a cup of a not-so-ordinary drink. This is also a must-try. There is this childish feeling in you that will just burst out that you thought was long gone. Will I still go back?... Of course! Even my son liked it. So it is definitely worth the effort and sip. :)

Club Balai Isabel is ♥

I have been thinking of ways to celebrate my husband's 31st birthday for a couple of months. Until, I decided to plan an out-of-town trip for us since we haven't done it for quite a long time because of our busy schedules. The night before my husband's birthday, I asked him to come with me and stroll along The Fort and eat at a food market called "Mercato".  We also brought with us our son so he can run and play at the soccer field right at the back of the food market. Then. I gave him my surprise gift which is a Bulgari perfume. :) In the morning, we left at around 10am so we can drive to our destination. Club Balai Isabel is located in Talisay, Batangas. It is approximately an hour and a half drive from Manila. It is located right at the side of the Taal Lake. You can see the Taal Volcano very clearly. The location is breath-taking and the staff are really friendly. The hotel room that we stayed at is very roomy and comfy. We also availed of the whole body massage and it was very relaxing. The food was also good although it was a bit pricey. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this resort. It was really a vacation that we can never forget. It was worth the money and time. I am looking forward to going back to this place and this time it will be with my whole family. Again, Happy Birthday Bebe! And I hope that you enjoyed your day. ♥

The Vow- a must-see ♥♥♥

I don't usually watch movies in cinemas because I only watch DVD's at home. But when I heard of this new movie, The Vow, that is based on true story, I got curious about it and was very eager and excited to watch it. I was able to find time to watch it as our Valentine's movie date with my husband. I already got hooked even at the start of the movie. The scenes were excellently executed and the story was properly told. Every scene makes sense and every line speaks of the truth. People who are in love will be able to relate to the story. Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum (the new love of my life) portrayed their roles so well that you can feel every emotions that they have. Although the story was a bit short for me, I will still recommend this movie to my family and friends.

Valentine's date 2012 ♥ @ Secret Recipe

February 14, 2012... Valentine's day... I bought a voucher from Ensogo for a discounted 4-course meal for 2 a couple of weeks before Valentine's day so we made an early restaurant reservation for our lunch date at Secret Recipe, The Fort. The place is clean and the ambiance is relaxing so I was expecting that the food will taste good. The 4-course meal includes 2 Mushroom soups, 1 Fresh Garden Salad, 1 Grilled Mushroom Chicken, 1 Fish and Chips and 2 Tiramisu's for dessert. The serving of the food was enough for 2 but the taste was not that promising. There was nothing special and memorable. Their staff were friendly and the service was fast so I think that it wasn't a bad experience after all. Will I still go back?... Possibly... If there will be cheaper deals... But I do not think that it will be anytime soon.

Sbarro Bloggers Night @Glorietta5

Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at around 7pm, we were invited by Richard Mamuyac of http://mapanghingikaba.blogspot.com, a co-blogger and a good friend of ours to the Sbarro Bloggers' Night to be held at Sbarro in Glorietta 5. It was Sbarro's way of introducing their newest endorsement which is the Festa Italiana. A quick PowerPoint presentation was shown with a history of how Sbarro started out in the Philippines and how it expanded in years. Then, there came the introduction of Festa Italiana. This meal includes 2 10" pizzas, 1 whole spaghetti, 1 whole ziti, 1 salad and a bottle of 1 L. Coke for only P799!  We also had the chance of tasting it because they served it to us for free! Everybody will definitely enjoy this because it is, indeed, a feast. This meal is good for 4 people because of its big serving. If you love Italian food and is on a budget, you have to dig in to this group meal. For only 200 Pesos per head, you will have a taste of quality, great tasting and healthy food. While we were eating, there was also a raffle draw for everyone who attended the event. Sbarro gave away gift certificates (P1000, P2000, P3000 and P5000). Fortunately, out of at least 20 bloggers, my husband won the P5000 gc. One lucky winner got to take home a brand new Ipad 2. I was hoping that I could bag the grand prize but even if I didn't I did not go home crying because they gave each and everyone of us a bag full of freebies. A cd of the presentation, a Sbarro mug, a Sbarro t-shirt and 2 Festa Italiana gift certificates! What more can I ask for? Thanks to the organizers of the event and of course thank you to Richard for the invite! I am, absolutely, looking forward to more events like this.

You may check out this awesome meal and other mouth-watering food by going to the Sbarro website.
